The exhibit, "Art and Other Tactics: Contemporary Craft by Artist Veterans," has the work of 23 veterans whose art has been shaped by their military experiences beginning with the Korean War in 1950 up through the present day conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan.
In many cases, the work has served as a form of rehabilitation for the artist veterans.
The exhibition is open from May 24 through September 6 at the Craft & Folk Art Museum located at 5814 Wilshire Boulevard in Los Angeles.
