You Can Now Order Domino's By Tweeting Pizza Emoji

(FOX 11)  Domino's Pizza launched a new system where hungry users can simply tweet a pizza emoji at the chain to place an order.

The tweet-to-order system launched May 20 and lets U.S. customers order a pizza by tweeting the emoji to @Dominos. Then a pizza magically shows up at your door.

"It's the epitome of convenience," Domino's CEO Patrick Doyle told USA Today. "We've got this down to a five-second exchange."

Bob DeCastro tweeted the pizza emoji to Domino's during Studio 11 LA and a real, actual pizza showed up to our studio within about 45 minutes.

However, there's definitely more to it:

  • First, you have to set up a "Pizza Profile" and place an order on Dominos.com -- and save that order preference as your "Easy Order."
  • Second, sign up for "Tweet Ordering" in your profile at Dominos.com.
  • Third, tweet #Easyorder or the pizza slice emoji to @Dominos and the company will confirm your order by Twitter direct message.

What a world we live in. No longer do we have to call Domino's and speak with someone. No longer do we have to physically type the order and click the boxes. Now we can just tweet -- and pizza is ours.
