Gas Prices Rise To Highest Amount Since July

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose 5.4 cents today to $3.997, its highest amount since July 29.

The average price has risen seven consecutive days and is 17.2 cents more than one week ago and 86.3 cents higher than one month ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. However, it is 21.3 cents less than one year ago.

The Orange County average price rose 4.1 cents to $3.981, its highest amount since July 27. It has risen eight consecutive days and is 16.1 cents more than one week ago and 88.5 cents higher than one month ago but 21.7 cents less than one year ago.
