Two Teens Stabbed In Brawl Outside Santa Ana School

SANTA ANA (CNS/FOX 11) - Two teens were stabbed Friday in a brawl involving up to two dozen youths as classes were getting out at the Community Day School in Santa Ana.

A 14-year-old boy and a 17-year-old boy were taken to area hospitals to be treated, but their injuries were not considered life-threatening, according to authorities. The 14-year-old was more seriously injured, according to Santa Ana police Cpl. Anthony Bertagna.

The fight started just before 3 p.m. at the school at 804 N. Fairview St., which enrolls troubled students from intermediate through high school grades. Paramedics were called at 2:52 p.m., according to Orange County Fire Authority Capt. Steve Concialdi.

Police conducted a house-to-house search for suspects and rounded up three teens, who were being questioned, Bertagna said. Another 14 students were detained at the scene as witnesses or possible suspects, he said.

It was not immediately clear what touched off the conflict, Bertagna said.
