(FOX 11) Police are investigating a reported child abuse case after a YouTube video surfaced on social media showing a woman hitting a crying child in the face with a tablet.

WARNING: Video contains graphic language.

The video, which has received nearly 25,000 views since being uploaded Thursday, shows the woman placing the 3-year-old boy in the backseat of a car in the Kohl's parking lot in Victorville.

After wiping the child's face with a napkin, she then hits the toddler's face with the tablet. According to the video's description, the uploader began filming the woman after seeing her "pulling this kid by his hair" out of the store.

A Victorville resident reported the incident as possible child abuse after seeing the video online.

The woman, identified as Yvonne Camargo by Victorville police, was contacted by authorities.

"The deputy examined the child for injuries, conducted a criminal interview with Camargo, and notified Children & Family Services. The case is being submitted to the District Attorney's Office," the Victorville Police Department news release stated.

Anyone with information regarding the investigation was asked to contact Sheriff's Deputy Abernathy at (760) 241-2911.
