Woman Suspected Of Leading Police On A 90-Minute Pursuit Ended In South L.A.

 LOS ANGELES (CNS) - A woman suspected of driving a stolen car led authorities on a 90-minute chase tonight that ended in South Los Angeles tonight when the vehicle suddenly stopped.

The chase ended about 7:54 p.m in the area of 84th Street and Main Avenue. No one was injured during the chase, said California Highway Patrol Officer Peter Bishop.

The CHP took over the chase at 7:26 p.m., Bishop said. A male passenger got out the sedan and began running through neighborhood backyards and alleys, before being captured.

The car was stolen near Northridge. Crowds gathered where the chase ended, prompting more than 50 Los Angeles Police Department to form skirmish lines.
