Internet-Bullied 'Dancing Man' Gets LA Dance Party Supported By Pharrell, Moby

(FOX 11) A London man who was fat-shamed on social media for simply having a good time will be the guest of honor at a party like no other in Los Angeles.

It's a story of the good of a community overcoming the evil intentions of one person. On Feb. 13, an anonymous user on a 4chan message board posted a photo of a man dancing at a concert with the following caption:

"Spotted this specimen trying to dance the other week. He stopped when he saw us laughing."

The photo soon appeared on the image-sharing website Imgur, where the body-shaming attempt was met with disgust and an overwhelming community of support for the "Dancing Man."

Cassandra Fairbanks saw the photo, who immediately turned to Twitter and called on others to help find the man using #FindDancingMan and organize something special for him.

"It felt horrible seeing that, because I think we can all relate," Fairbanks said.

More than 2,000 women in Los Angeles pledged to join Dancing Man for a massive dance party, just for him.

The man, whose real name is Sean, eventually joined Twitter as @DancingManFound to thank Fairbanks and others for their kindness.A GoFundMe page was set up to help the man travel to Los Angeles for the dance party, which raised more than $35,000 in 3 days. The page admin said leftover funds would be donated to an anti-bullying campaign.

The L.A. Coliseum offered to donate its venue for free.

In addition, Pharrell, Moby and Andrew WK all seem to want a spot on the guest list.
