If Elected, 18-Year-Old Could Become State's Youngest City Council Member

(FOX 11) - History could be in the making during Tuesday's election in Cudahy.

If elected, 18-year-old Adam Ochoa would be the youngest council member in Cudahy City Council history -- in addition to the youngest in the California and perhaps in the nation.

Barely legal, Ochoa is also graduating from California State University Northridge this year with a double major in Political Science and Economics.

He was born in Monterey Park and raised by his grandparents since birth. At the age of 2, they moved to Cudahy. Ochoa said he has been campaigning hard, and believes he has a "very good shot of winning" Tuesday's race.

"Win or lose, this is not the last time you're going to see me," he told FOX 11.
