Police Pursuit Ends In Three-Car Crash, 7 People Injured

(FOX 11 / CNS) A brief pursuit of a motorist in south Los Angeles today ended in a three-vehicle crash that left seven people injured, including an infant and at least one other child, authorities said.

The chase began about 10:05 a.m. at 83rd Street and Vermont Avenue, where officers tried to pull over a motorist who was driving recklessly, said Los Angeles police officer Liliana Preciado.

The crash occurred a few minutes later at Main Street and Imperial Highway, where the suspect was taken into custody, Preciado said.

Paramedics transported seven patients for hospital treatment, including a month-old baby and at least one other child, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported. The injuries ranged from minor to serious, the LAFD reported.
