Hit And Run Crash In South LA Leaves 6 Teens Critically Injured

(FOX 11 / CNS) Six people were critically injured in a high-speed collision involving two vehicles in South Los Angeles tonight, a Los Angeles fire department official said.

It happened about 10:30p.m. in the 5100 block of Wall Street, the Los Angeles Fire Department's Erik Scott said.

The injured were 18 to 20 years old, Scott said.

Four of the victims had to be extricated from vehicles, he said.

Los Angeles Police are investigating an injury traffic collision that at 10:34pm in the 5100 block of S. Wall St. Los Angeles City Fire responded to a two vehicle traffic collision with multiple patients. Firefighters had to extricate three patients that were trapped inside one of the vehicles, two of them were young children. It took firefighters roughly 25 minutes to extricate all patients. All five of the patients were transported in serious to critical condition. 

LAPD Central Traffic is handling the investigation.
