Miss Amazing Pageant Held in Mercer County

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ  (WTXF) - The Miss Amazing Pageant celebrates the abilities of girls and women with disabilities and FOX 29's Brad Sattin went to Notre Dame High School to show us how.

The Miss Amazing New Jersey Pageant featured 21 girls and women, ages 10 to 51, teaching us that obstacles are no match for passion on stage, dressed like royalty for a day.

A pageant that just weeks ago because of a last minute glitch was short on gowns for contestants like Patrice Jetter, interviewed then by our Bruce Gordon.
Hundreds of viewers responded with gowns, and she did.

I told him I wanted the most awesome dress to make me look like a princess.  Well, Bruce, here it is,  and I’m awesome,” Jetter said.

The event was awesome, all crowned as princesses or queens.

Chloe's smile and fist in the air, says it all, teaching us a thing or two about going after our dreams.

“I’m very excited to be a new Miss Amazing, “ Kaitlin Manson,19, said.

This 4th annual pageant in New Jersey offered so much pride on stage.  And, in the crowd they did a lot more than that today.

“These girls light up your day, just by saying hello,” Cindy VanDenBogart said.
