One of the victims had a graze wound to the head, but none were seriously injured, a Los Angeles police officer said.

The officer said the victims, all in their early 20s, were dropping a friend off at a gas station in the 2400 block of West Temple Street when they were approached by two men who began arguing with them. One of the two men then produced a handgun and fired at the men in the car before the suspects made off with the vehicle, she said.

The suspects drove a block west to North Rampart Boulevard, where they abandoned the vehicle, the officer said.

The victims were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, she said.

From Mario Ramirez:

The LAPD Rampart division is investigating a triple shooting in Westlake early Wednesday morning.

Three people were shot near Temple and Park View Streets at about 2:55 a.m. According to police, 2 suspects approached a group of men in a white vehicle. One of the suspects opened fire shooting them. Two of the three men shot were able to run to a Mobile gas station on Temple and Rampart before calling for help.

Authorities say the injuries appear to be graze wounds and non-life threatening. All 3 victims were taken to area hospitals and listed in stable condition.

No arrests have been made. Police say the suspects appear to be gang members.
