Henry County Police are looking for two men who robbed two teenagers girls last Sunday. One of those attackers was armed with a silver handgun.
“Sometimes at night, I still think about it,” said 13-year-old Emely, who was one of the two girls robbed.
Emely and her 14-year-old cousin told police they were walking to a house in the Auburn Estates mobile home park in McDonough. At one point, they noticed a truck following close behind them. When they reached the house where they were going, the girls told police a white man with a bandana jumped out of the truck and pointed a gun at them. According to police, he stole the girls' purses then jumped back in the truck and sped away with a getaway driver. Police say the driver was a black male.
"I had a feeling something wasn't going to go right, but never in my mind did I think that was going to happen,” said Emely.
Henry County Police later found the girls' stolen purses outside a McDonough hotel thanks the the “Find My iPhone” on one of the victims' stolen cell phones. Surveillance video from the hotel was recovered, showing the two robbers and their truck.
Police say the truck is burgundy and may have silver fender flares. They also think the paint on the top of the truck's cab is faded. If you have any information you're asked to call the Henry County Police Department.
