19-Year-Old Killed In Fiery Northridge Crash

The deceased victim was at the wheel of a 2005 Ford Mustang, heading north on Lindley Avenue about 3:30 a.m. when the car collided with a 2005 Honda Civic being driven east on Roscoe Boulevard by a 21-year-old man, according to a statement from the Los Angeles Police Department's Valley Traffic Division.

The 19-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Friends at the scene told ABC7 her name was Desirae Crittenden of Northridge. She was the Mustang's sole occupant, the station reported.

The front of the Honda caught fire as a result of the crash, police said.

Paramedics dispatched to the scene at 3:38 a.m. rushed four people to hospitals, Erik Scott of the Los Angeles City Fire Department said.

They were the driver of the Honda and three passengers, according to news outlets, which reported that police were investigating if drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash. An update on the conditions of the crash survivors was not immediately available.

No arrests have been reported.
