DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - Tatyana Allen is accused of using her baby to hit her boyfriend on Daytona Beach Monday. Allen faced a judge Tuesday to hear the charges she's facing.
Allen called 911 and asked for police to come to Daytona Beach where she, her boyfriend and their 6-month-old were celebrating the 4th of July.
Allen said the confrontation between her and her boyfriend started with a walk to the bathroom.
23 witnesses described the incident to police including one person who called 911 saying Allen punched her boyfriend twice in the face, then hit him with the baby. "She took the baby by like his body and hit the baby against the man and threw the baby down," the witness said. "The baby was screaming; it was face down in the sand. It can't hold its head up by itself, that's how little it was."
Police later arrested Allen. Her lawyer on Tuesday tried to get her released without bond because she doesn't have any adult priors, but the judge denied the request.
The baby is ok, but was checked out at the hospital just to be sure. The baby is currently with family members. If Allen bonds out, part of her release is that she can not have any contact with her baby or boyfriend for now.
