Wildlife officials telling people not to paint birds

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission recently told people not to paint tortoises due to the danger it causes the animals and now they are asking people not to paint birds either.
Wildlife officials said a a white Ibis was found with orange paint and was picked up by officers.
Officials said the white Ibis is a protected species in Florida and it is illegal to paint them.
Officials added not only is it illegal, but cruel to paint any Florida wildlife.
Wildlife officers are asking if anyone sees someone illegally painting wildlife to contact the Wildlife Alert Hotline at 1-888-404-FWCC.
The Ibis was recovered and taken to the Busch Wildlife Sanctuary in Jupiter.
