Two suspects wanted for breaking into cars in West LA building

An apartment complex manager is determined to help find two men he said broke into his property multiple times this year.

Jeffrey Ota said his complex on Federal Venue was located in a very quiet area until recently burglaries left some residents without key and him without ease.

In security camera footage, a man wearing a hooded sweater with sunglasses is seen going into the manager's storage room then into the garage where Ota said a few of the tenants' spare keys were taken out of their unlocked cars.

Ota said his tenant understandably mad, but patient.

"They're happy that I've been very proactive. When I'm telling them like I'm sleeping in the storage room like waiting for the guy."

Ota said he had been sleeping in his storage in hopes of confronting the two suspects he said burglarized the complex four times this year.

He had confidence police would solve the case because of the high-quality surveillance footage. He was also planning to make flyers of the two men and distribute them to other managers in the areas.

"There are people that walk around and there are cameras and there's a local community that will fight back against crime."
