SAN DIEGO, Calif. (FOX 11) - A tree crashes into a house in San Diego killing two people inside, according to authorities.
The huge tree, estimated to be about 100 feet tall, fell around 6 a.m. Monday morning.
When firefighters managed to get inside the house, they found the bodies of the two victims on the upper floor.
A third person inside the house was rescued unharmed.
Utility crews were called in to remove the tree and to shut off the gas over concerns that the fallen tree might have broken gas lines inside the house.
It also took down some power lines.
The National Weather Service recorded wind gusts of 40 mph during the time the tree fell.
