Study: Experts warn drinking less may decrease risk of several types of cancer

- Just one or two alcoholic drinks per day may not be the healthiest choice according to a new study published by The American Society of Clinical Oncology.

Researchers are blaming certain cancers on the amount of alcohol you consume.

"The link between increased alcohol consumption and cancer has been firmly established," Johnson added. He said he hopes that this knowledge empowers doctors "to help their patients reduce their risk of cancer.", according to Dr. Bruce Johnson, president of the ASCO, an organization of cancer doctors, said in a statement released on Tuesday.

The study links drinking to mouth, neck, esophageal, voice box, liver, breast and colorectal cancers.

The message of the study is to be smart about drinking.

The more you drink, the higher your risk will be.
