Kavanaugh friend rejects gang rape allegations; says nobody knows who accuser is

- A lifelong friend of Brett Kavanaugh told FOX 11 on Wednesday that nobody in their social circle has ever met or heard of the woman accusing him of being involved in the gang raping of girls during parties in high school, and that the allegations are “laughable” and false.

Missy Bigelow Carr is one of more than 60 high school era friends of Kavanaugh who signed a letter on Wednesday to show their support for the Supreme Court justice nominee. Everyone who signed the letter claims to have never met or heard of Julie Swetnick, the latest woman to make shocking allegations against Kavanaugh.

“I’ve never heard that name before,” Carr said. “In fact, she’s several years older than most of us for one thing, and I haven’t come across anybody whose ever heard of her before.”

In a signed affidavit, Swetnick alleges she went to at least ten high school parties where Brett Kavanaugh was involved in drugging and gang raping young girls..

“It didn’t happen,” Carr said. “It didn’t happen, I never experienced any party like that, never heard about any party like that, certainly never saw Brett at any of those parties. Having lived here my whole life, I went to dozens of parties in the 80s in high school and college and never witnessed anything like this, and I can tell you, had we, women would have stood up for one another, we would not have allowed it, we certainly wouldn’t have gone back for more parties like that.”

Kavanaugh has also been accused of sexual impropriety during his high schoool days by two other women, Dr. Christine Blasey Ford, and Deborah Ramirez. Kavanaugh has denied all the allegations. “I mean at this point it's kind of laughable,” Carr said. “One accusation is more salacious than the next, it's kind of like throwing things at a wall to see if they stick.”

Carr was asked if she believes all three of the women coming forward are lying.

“I can’t really speculate on that, it seems very suspicious to me, the timing of all these,” she said. “It’s getting to the point where you just have to kind of roll your eyes and fight back.”
