Fire at cardboard recycling plant in Commerce

A smoky, two-alarm fire broke out Friday at a cardboard recycling facility in Commerce, but no injuries were reported.
The fire was reported at 2:10 p.m. in the 5500 block of East 61st Street, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
First arriving units reported evacuation of the plant was under way and heavy smoke and fire was visible.
About 50 firefighters were initially assigned to the fire and units equipped with firefighting foam were summoned, a fire department inspector said.

No word at this time on what started the fire.
