BBQ and grilling tips for your Labor Day cookout

Geoff Greenspan with Holy Cow BBQ joined us on Labor Day to share some of his best barbecue and grilling tips for your Labor Day cookout!

Easy to make Baby Back Ribs on the grill: 1 hour and 15 minutes
-Add rub
-Cover in thick foil - 2 layers
-Place ribs on the grill over medium heat - 1 hour
-Uncover, sauce and grill each side - 5 minutes each side

When grilling burgers, avoid these mistakes:
-Adding too many seasonings - salt and pepper will do
-Overworking the meat before grilling
-Forgetting the "dimple"
-Overworking the meat while grilling
-Cooking over high flames

Lastly, let your meat rest after cooking:
-Seals the juices
-Larger roasts 10 to 15 minutes
-Steaks and Chops 5 minutes

Easy Cole Slaw:
-6 cups shredded cabbage
-1 cup mayonnaise
-¼ cup white vinegar
-¼ cup sugar
-1 teaspoon celery seed
-Salt and Pepper
