Dow surges more than 600 points as market breaks losing streak

NEW YORK, NY (FOX NEWS) - Wall Street awoke from a midday snooze in the final hour of trading, surging to session highs and leading the Dow to its biggest intraday point gain in nearly seven years. The Dow Jones Industrial Average surged 315 points, or 3.27% to 16182. The S&P 500 gained 60 points, or 3.26% to 1928, while the Nasdaq rose 159 points, or 3.51% to 4662. All 10 S&P 500 sectors were in positive territory with information technology leading the way, popping 4.30% in recent action.
