Arlena broadcasts hopes for a forever family

This week, it’s Arlena (2002) on the airwaves as Wednesday’s Child powers up with POWER 106 to help identify a forever family for this engaging and sometimes outspoken young teen.

Arlena enjoys music and has a particular interest in the rap and hip-hop genres, so spending some time with DJ Krystal Bee gave Arlena the opportunity to learn some of the technical side to droppin’ beats!.

Arlena got the inside scoop of what happens in a radio station as well as some hands-on training on radio broadcast – including learning the right way “scratch” a record. And while Arlena got a sense of what it might be like to be in the radio industry, she expressed that music was more of a part-time passion for her and that career-wise her current thoughts are more towards being a military nurse.

Scholastically for now, Arlena enjoys language arts and is looking forward to being part of an ROTC program once she is in high school.  Arlena has some important familial connections she wants to maintain and hopes for an adoptive family that is supportive of this. Arlena is open to family constellations of all types, although she indicates that she thinks younger parents would be a better fit for her. So with Arlena behind the board and at the mic, we’re sending out this message … tune in to Wednesday’s Child to see more of Arlena in action.
