Last week we did a “throwback Wednesday” that featured a youth in need of permanency at a 2015 Lakers practice. This week we fast-forward to catch up with Katrina (2002) as she goes one-on-one with Lakers’ power forward, Julius Randle.
Katrina is an active girl who is well-liked and takes a lead in being considerate to those around her. She enjoys the great outdoors as well as a variety of sports such as basketball, football and dirt-bike riding.
Despite being a self-proclaimed “die-hard” Chicago Bulls fan, for her recent visit to the Lakers practice Katrina was decked out in “Laker gold” to show support for her hosts. While her adventurous spirit often leads her towards outdoor activities, when spending time indoors Katrina likes playing computer or video games. Katrina also has a love for animals of all kinds and isn’t even bothered by the likes of tarantulas.
Katrina possesses a personality that shines through when you meet her. She struggles a little in school but she always puts in the effort, especially when aided by some patient and loving support.
While getting a kick out of her one-on-one time with an NBA pro, in the big picture Katrina is looking to score a forever family that is kind, active, understanding and giving. To catch a glimpse of Katrina both on and off the court and to learn more about adoption, tune into Wednesday’s Child.
