Progress is progress, despite the pace. And if this Wednesday's Child looks like a familiar face, it might be that you recall the first time we featured Steven back in 2012. At the time, Steven (born in 2005) spent much more time in a wheelchair… and as you can see he's made progress in his mobility!
Steven is diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy and a seizure disorder. And while he is still considered non-ambulatory, Steven has developed more strength and endurance in his legs as he works
on increasing his mobility out of the wheelchair.
Steven remains optimistic and full of enthusiasm, and his smile expresses a pure and innocent joy that many of us have a harder time harnessing. We believe that there is a family out there that is ready to help Steven make progress in all areas, including his permanency.
Steven will need a lot of care and attention, and we're looking for a family that can try to match Steven's optimism and enthusiasm so that – along with the trainings and services available to help those who adopt children with needs such as Steven's – his progress will unfold like never before!
