Eric (2005) is a happy kid with a delightful personality who is easy to engage from the get-go. Eric is also inquisitive and has a penchant for technology, and on our day with him he remained enamored with the TV camera and microphone, so we followed along on his investigative adventures as he took over the role of field reporter.
Eric is diagnosed with cerebral palsy, mental retardation, moderate Spastic Quadriplegia and global developmental delays. He is receiving speech therapy and uses sign language and his communication skills are improving.
What sets Eric apart is not so much his enthusiasm nor his disabilities, but how he handles life in spite of his challenges. Getting a glimpse of life through his optimistic lens can make for a powerful and moving story.
