This week on Wednesday’s Child we meet Miky’e (2009), a likable little lad whom some say has an ‘old soul’.
Miky’e enjoys the company of both children and adults and is engaging with everyone around him. While he can appear on the quiet side initially, Miky’e is most likely just taking in and processing the moment.
Miky’e is good about sharing his toys and is fine with spending time reading his favorite books. He thrives on learning new things and really enjoys going to school. Miky’e has a good temperament and thrives on positive reinforcement and one-on-one attention.
Life for Miky’e has been a bit more difficult than for some his age. He is diagnosed with Short Bowel Syndrome and requires a G-tube for most of his nutrition. Miky’e has adapted fairly well and knows how to protect the G-tube area whenever he is active. Miky’e is receiving Regional Center services and special education services to assist him with his physical needs and developmental delays.
Miky’e’s smile and sweet personality will steal your heart. If you have a special place in your heart for children with special needs who also like to read, we want to help you make room in your home for Miky’e! Tune in to Wednesday’s Child to see and hear more of Miky’e’s story and then call 1-866-921-ADOPT (2367) to learn more about adopting.
