FedEx Brings Holiday Gifts To A Special Foster Parent

‘Tis the season of giving … and in a not-so-random act of kindness, Wednesday's Child and Fed-Ex team up once again to gift a special family! With a fleet of 3 Fed-Ex trucks, we descended on the home of Ida Jordan, a foster parent of 30 years who has fostered over 300 children and is the adoptive mom to our Wednesday's Child, Malik.

Ms. Jordan was Malik's foster parent when he was just a toddler. He left her home and she assumed he was with his family. Years later she saw Malik, then at age 11, on Wednesday's Child and reached out to us to “re- claim” him. Now at age 15, Malik has grown and thrived and is quite an amazing big brother.

With so many kids having come and gone from the Jordan home over the years, many things around the house start to show from wear. With all that Ms. Jordan has given to our kids in foster care, we knew it was time for her to be on the receiving end of some giving.

Thank you, Ms. Jordan … and thank you Fed-Ex for recognizing this amazing foster/adoptive family. From our Wednesday's Child family to yours, Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year! Tune in Christmas Eve to the FOX 11 10PM news for this special holiday story.
