LOS ANGELES (FOX 11) - A 7-year-old’s amazing rendition of the national anthem has taken social media by storm.
Malea Emma performed Sept. 23 before the LA Galaxy and Seattle Sounders matchup at StubHub Center. The crowd was in awe of her performance, and even soccer stars such as Zlatan Ibrahimovic were stunned.
Ibrahimovic retweeted her performance with the caption “MVP of the game!”
The singing sensation also performed Feb. 23 at the UCLA Men's Basketball game.
During her appearance on Good Day LA, she said she's been singing since she was a baby.
"When I was a baby I would take a comb and pretend it was a microphone. Then I would sing to a lamp and I would pretend that my mom and dad's bed was a stage," she told FOX 11.
When asked how she's able to perform so incredibly in front of big crowds, the 7-year-old had a very patriotic response.
"I tell myself that it's a very special song for America, so I can't mess anything up."
She also practices regularly so she won't forget the words.
"Every single night I would practice the songs, and then when I learn new songs, I would keep on looking at the lyrics and then I try to memorize it," she said.
