LOS ANGELES, Calif. (FOX 11) - Seaweed is the new kale, according to Chef Kerry Heffernan -- who joined us on Good Day LA with a few seaweed dishes that will leave you wanting more!
Sea vegetables are loaded with nutrients, including protein, fiber and vitamins. Seaweed is also thought to help the body fight illness and disease.
The main dish on Good Day LA featured Seaweed and Oyster Fricasse with fish cake and dill and the second dish was a Crudo of Korean Fluke with Gochuchang and Lime wrapped in crisp seaweed garnish.

Chef Heffernan also works with the the Monterey Bay Aquarium’s Seafood Watch program, which aims help people choose seafood that's fished or farmed in ways that have less impact on the environment.
