Dana Nachman, Patricia Wilson & Mike Jutan Talk 'Batkid Begins'

The power of social media, the good in people, and a little boy's wish...all are shown in the new documentary ‘Batkid Begins'. It follows 5 year old Miles Scott, a boy with leukemia whose wish was granted and experienced by the whole country: he wanted to become Batman.

Dana Nachman is the director producer of ‘Batkid Begins.' Patricia Wilson is here from the Make A Wish Foundation. And Mike Jutan played Batkid's nemesis, The Penguin.

Dana is based in San Jose and mother of three. Born and raised in New York, writer/director Dana Nachman's films, Witch Hunt, Love Hate Love and The Human Experiment have premiered and screened at Toronto, Tribeca, AFI and IDFA Film Festivals. She has won prizes including 3 Emmy Awards, The Edward R. Murrow Award, and numerous Jury and Audience Awards at US film festivals. Nachman's films have been seen by millions of people on various networks including MSNBC, The Oprah Winfrey Network and PBS. Nachman graduated from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut with a dual degree in Middle Eastern Studies and International Relations. She received a Master's Degree from NYU in Broadcast Journalism. Nachman is a guest journalism lecturer at Stanford University. She lives in Northern California with her husband and three children.


Patricia can speak about how this event came together as she was in charge of making "the wish" happen.
