LOS ANGELES, Calif. (FOX 11)
More than 200 LAPD officers have provided pre-season game security for the Rams at no cost to the team and the fight over who should foot the bill escalated this week.
Former LA Councilman Dennis Zine filed a lawsuit against the city and LAPD chief Charlie Beck.
Asked about the lawsuit against the city, Rams' spokesperson Joanne Hunter declined to comment, but did say fan security is the team's top priority.
Several weeks ago, councilman Mitch O'Farrell sent a letter to the owner of the Rams requesting he fully fund the public safety contingent, including necessary staffing from the LAPD.
Mitch O'Farrell came on Good Day LA to talk about where the city stands with the Rams.
