Breakout star from 'Grease Live'

There were some  very big stars performing Sunday night on 'Grease Live', but the actor who stole the show was Jordan Fisher.

Jordan Fisher, an Alabama native, began his acting career by training and performing at RMTC (Red Mountain Theatre Company) in his hometown of Birmingham. It was here that he emerged as a gifted actor, dancer and choreographer, as well as a musician with a passion for writing music and singing. Most recently, Jordan starred as ‘Doody’ in FOX’s “Grease: Live” which attracted over 12.2 million viewers, 1.2 million tweets seen a total of 162.2 million times; ranking as the #1 most viral special live musical event.

His stand out moment performing “Those Magic Changes” put Jordan on the map, with the likes of People Magazine, Buzzfeed, and Entertainment Weekly, calling him a star and one to watch. As a musician and signed artist with Hollywood Records, a glimpse into his future album emerged on Sunday when a brand new song from Jordan became available on SoundCloud titled “Counterfeit,” which was welcomed with open arms by fans and media such as Cosmopolitan, Idolator, and Mashable.

Jordan got his start in television, having guest starred on the popular Nickelodeon series “iCarly.” Hollywood quickly caught on to his charisma, and soon after, he booked his first major role on ABC Family’s “The Secret Life of the American Teenager” as ‘Jacob.’ In 2013 he was able to merge his love for acting, singing, and dancing as ‘Seacat’ in the beloved Disney channel original movie “Teen Beach Movie” and reprised his role in the sequel “Teen Beach 2” (2015). Other television roles for Jordan include Nickelodeon’s “The Thundermans,” MTV’s “Teen Wolf,” and currently Disney’s “Liv and Maddie” as the love interest to ‘Liv (Dove Cameron).

Music has never been far behind for Jordan. His first single, “By Your Side” premiered on Radio Disney in October 2013, and his sophomore single “Never Dance Alone” quickly followed. He was a guest performer at the Radio Disney Music Awards after-party in April 2014. He performed his third single, “What I Got” in the summer of 2014 during a series of live performances at Six Flags parks on the East Coast. All of his singles charted and had continuous airplay on Radio Disney, consistently being requested by fans. In 2015 Jordan signed to Hollywood Records and has been busy working with some of the top writers/producers in the U.S. on his debut album (mid-2016).

Born April 24, 1994, Fisher was diagnosed in the hospital with nerve damage and a temporarily paralyzed right arm, which necessitated physical therapy. Despite this rough start, at age two Jordan began taking gymnastics. By ten years old, he had garnered many gold medals in the South Eastern Region Men’s Gymnastics. Jordan enjoys giving back and is involved in many charity events. He holds The Humane Society close to his heart, having helped to raise money for the organization during the holiday season and also works with the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. He enjoyed quite the adventure when Disney sent him to Ecuador as a Disney VoluntEar to help build a school in a remote village. In his free time, Jordan enjoys playing basketball and can be seen playing with the Hollywood Knights basketball team.
