Back-to-school: Tips to make sure your child is healthy and prepared

- Research says a child's health is linked to their academic achievement.

Jessica Solares with AltaMed joined us on Good Day LA to share some helpful tips to make sure your child is ready:

- Make sure your children are up to date on their vaccinations
- Pack school supplies the night before
- Layout clothes
- Avoid rushing/leave home early 
- Healthy breakfast
- Establish a bedtime routine a week in advance for a smoother transition
- Turn off screens two hours before bed
- Avoid high sugar foods
- Maybe try drawing a bath
- Stick to your routine
