Mayor Eric Garcetti stopped by Good Day LA to talk to Steve Edwards and Araksya Karapetyan about the state's water crisis, and what the city of Los Angeles is doing about it.
This week the City of Los Angeles is participating in a national advocacy and awareness campaign called “Imagine a Day Without Water.” Events are happening in major cities including Atlanta and Washington, D.C., and of course the city where this topic probably hits closest to home – Los Angeles.
On Thursday of this week, Mayor Garcetti spoke at a local school about water conservation education and curriculum. The city is also investing in a “Save the Drop” conservation awareness effort.
Because households can’t be the only ones asked to make changes, City departments LA Sanitation and LA Department of Public Works are creating a new “One Water” plan to collaborate across city agencies to do a better job of water capture, reuse and recycling.

Mayor Garcetti also discussed current crime statistics, earthquake retrofitting, and of course - Vin Scully and the Dodgers.
