Kenya Moore is with us, she's been on ‘Real Housewives Of Atlanta’ for four of the show's eight seasons.
This year, Kenya has become friends with Kim Fields, who played Tootie on ‘The Facts Of Life.’ But after a recent trip to Miami, there appears to be some tension between them.
A popular actress in her own right, Kenya made her leading lady debut in the smash independent feature, “Trois,” in which she starred in and produced. The film opened to record success making history that year as the highest per screen average of any independent film of the year. She has since become and remained one of the most popular Film and Television actors with credits such as blockbuster “Waiting to Exhale” as the woman who caused Whitney Houston to hold her breath, “I Know Who Killed Me” opposite Lindsay Lohan, “Deliver Us From Eva” with Gabrielle Union and LL Cool J, “Senseless” with David Spade and Marlon Wayans, and smash indie darling “Trois”.
Moore has enjoyed immediate success behind the camera having produced six successful films to date and has been a proud member of the Producers Guild of America. In a recent project Kenya wears many hats including the title of “Director”. Determined to make a name for herself as a prominent up-and-coming producer, Moore established her own production company, Moore Vision Media. “The Confidant” a suspense thriller starring Boris Kodjoe, David Banner, Richard Roundtree, Billy Zane, and Bai Ling, marks her first film produced under Kenya’s sole supervision. “This is a very special project and I feel blessed to have such a dynamic cast and director who took a chance on me. Moore proclaims.
When asked what prompted her to produce and write in addition to her acting, Kenya expressed a need to have control over her career, as well as create opportunities for other minority actors and people in this majority driven business. In addition to several projects in various stages of development, “Pudding”, best described as a black “Sex and the City”, and “Chocolate”, in which Kenya wrote and will produce, which started production in 2014.
Moore has spent the last several years diligently working to develop her own hair care line designed to grow hair longer, stronger and thicker with one use. Moore Hair by Kenya is set to launch Q1 2015.
‘The Real Housewives Of Atlanta’ airs Sunday night at 8:00pm on Bravo.
