Jerry O' Connell talks 'Billions' and saving pennies

The new Showtime series ‘Billions’ focuses on the relationships between hedge fund managers and the government. Jerry O' Connell plays Steven Birch, and is fighting to stay out of jail against Paul Giammati's character Chuck Rhodes.

95 million Americans don’t stop to pick up a penny when they see it on the ground. But that doesn’t mean Americans think the penny is worthless. Nearly 9 out of 10 still keep pennies around either in their home, a piggy bank or their purse and say that pennies can come in handy. JCPenney is putting the penny to work in its new “Get Your Penney’s Worth” campaign and will be showing consumers firsthand just how far their pennies can go by hosting a pop-up game truck in LA (Pershing Square) with actor Jerry O’Connell on Wednesday, March 2.

Pop-up Game Truck: Visitors who stop by the truck will be able to chat with Jerry and participate in the game by dropping a ‘penney puck’ into a game board. The participant will then win a prize equal to the value in which the penney pucks lands - from $10 up to $500.

“Get Your Penney’s Worth” In-Store Promotion: JCPenney is launching “Penney Days,” a promotional offering that will make select items available for just a penny.

From February 28 to March 5, customers will be able to purchase an apparel item from The Original Arizona Jean Co.® brand and get another Arizona item for just a penny, while supplies last, available in store and on  JCPenney will continue to host Penney Days throughout the year.
