More info about David Cook:
David Cook is a multi-platinum artist and “American Idol” Season 7 winner currently living in Nashville
His album is called ‘Digital Vein’ and it comes out September 18 through his own label, Analog Heart. It’s available for pre-order on iTunes.
His headlining tour of North America kicks off September 30 at MIM Music Theater in Phoenix, AZ
He’ll be playing the Troubadour in Los Angeles on October 4
Digital Vein is Cook’s fourth studio album and his first since 2011’s This Loud Morning, which hit No. 7 on The Billboard 200 and No. 4 on the iTunes Album Chart.
After winning season 7 of “American Idol,” Cook went on to sell 1.5 million copies of his self-titled debut album, which entered The Billboard 200 at No. 3 and the Digital Chart at No. 1. He also set Billboard records for debut entries by a male solo artist on the Hot 100 Chart (with 11 titles) and for debut entries and total songs on the Hot Digital Songs Chart (with 14 titles).
Collectively, he’s sold over 5 million tracks and ringtones worldwide, including two platinum and one gold-certified single. He recently wrote David Nail’s 2014 top 20 country hit, “Kiss You Tonight.”
Digital Vein features 13 unreleased tracks, including a stunning rendition of Chris Isaak’s “Wicked Game.” With the exception of “Laying Me Low,” which he co-produced with Chris Reardon, Cook produced every track on the album himself.
There’s a new song on the album called “Home Movies,” which was inspired by David’s brother, who passed away from brain cancer in 2009. Since then, David has devoted himself to fighting the disease and has raised over 1 million dollars for brain tumor research and funding.
