If they had a hall of fame for rock photographers, Henry Diltz would be in it. With more than 400 album covers to his credit, his photographs chronicled an era in rock music…and specifically a movement that started just a few miles from here.
That scene became the Laurel Canyon sound…stars like the Mamas and the Papas, Joni Mitchell, Crosby Stills and Nash, James Taylor, and The Eagles provided the music. And in large part Henry Diltz provided the visual record of the time - some of the most iconic images in rock history came out of his camera.
Next month, Henry along with Pattie Boyd, fellow photographer...and former wife of both George Harrison and Eric Clapton will be showcasing their work and talking about this iconic images.
Thursday, September 10th 'Behind The Lens': Henry and Patti Boyd will be showing off their classic photographs and telling the stories behind them - it's at Largo at the Coronet.
