Debbie Allen & Maria Shriver: ‘Architects Of Change', 'Freeze Frame' event

Maria Shriver and Debbie Allen are with us. They've joined together for the ‘Architects Of Change’ conversation series. This week's topic is violence in America and how you can help change things.

In a fusion of dance, music, film, and theater, the passion and pain of Freeze Frame will take audiences on a rollercoaster ride through some of LA’s toughest streets where gangs, poverty, violence, and drugs are an everyday reality (a story all to relevant at this time in America sadly).

In addition to the four public performances, Ms. Allen, along with Maria Shriver, will be hosting a special gala performance on Feb 4 that will feature a panel conversation on violence in America (as part of Shriver’s ongoing Architects of Change: The Conversation Series).

Regarding the performers, the highly-talented cast is comprised of a mix of seasoned professionals including three-time Emmy-award winner Debbie Allen, Tony Award-winner Clinton Derricks, Broadway’s Vivian Nixon (Hot Feet, Memphis, Women on the Verge), So You Think You Can Dance finalist and all-star William Wingfield, up-and-coming internationally acclaimed vocalist Matthew Johnson and students, past and present, from the Debbie Allen Dance Academy. Freeze Frame also features original music by Stevie Wonder, James Ingram, Ricky Minor, Arturo Sandoval, and Thump.

The ‘Architects Of Change’ conversation on violence in America, plus a performance of 'Freeze Frame' will be held Thursday night at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts.

Freeze Frame will have four performances: Friday & Saturday, Feb 5 & 6 at 8PM, Saturday, Feb 6 at
3PM, and Sunday, Feb 7 at 12PM. Tickets for these performances are available for purchase as singles
starting at $39 or as a subscription series beginning at $117. For more information, visit

The Gala Benefit Performance and panel discussion will be Thursday, Feb 4 beginning at 5:30PM. Gala
tickets are available for purchase starting at $500. For more information, please call 310.202.1711.
