LOS ANGELES, CA (FOX 11) - Aisha Hinds is a paramedic in FOX’s new show 9-1-1. She’s part of a team of four.
Hinds says, “It’s really easy to disconnect our first responders from their humanity, and I think this show has definitely given me deeper compassion. I’ve always been embedded with a heart for our first responders, but I think learning about what it is they go through in the trenches as well as outside – the fact they have to go home and manage their own lives and manage their own emergencies – who responds to their emergencies.”
Hinds was recently recognized as playing civil rights activist Harriet Tubman, saying “These are women who serve a purpose greater than themselves.”
