Tori Spelling: 20 Year Anniversary and Remake of "Mother, May I Sleep With Danger?"

The retelling of this story stars Franco (also an executive producer) and reunites Tori Spelling (True Tori) and Ivan Sergei (Jack and Jill) from the original film which also features Leila George (The Long Home), Emily Meade (Broad City) and Nick Eversman (Wild). With a story by Franco, this updated classic features a vampire love story that brings a whole new meaning to “sleeping with danger.”

When theater major Leah (George), brings home the special someone in her life to meet her mom, Julie (Spelling), the family is met with a surprise when Pearl (Meade) comes to the door. Julie tries to embrace the idea of Leah’s new love interest, but she can’t shake the feeling that something is very wrong. Julie’s suspicions lead to a startling discovery about Pearl that puts Leah in serious danger.


Tori Spelling is an American actress, television personality and author. Her first major role was Donna Martin on Beverly Hills 90210 in 1990, produced by her father. She appeared in a string of made-for-television films, such as A Friend to Die For (1994) and Mother, May I Sleep with Danger? (1996). Spelling also rose to prominence through independent films such as The House of Yes (1997), Trick (1999) and Cthulhu (2007). She reprised her prominent role in the spinoff, 90210, in 2009. Her autobiography, Stori Telling, debuted on top of the New York Times Best Sellers list and was named the best celebrity autobiography of 2009.
