IRVINE, Calif. (FOX 11 / CNS) - Two police officers were injured when responding to a drug lab early Tuesday in Irvine, authorities said.
Authorities received the call around midnight about a residence in the 40 block of Garden Path with hazardous conditions, according to Capt. Larry Kurtz of the Orange County Fire Authority.
Kurtz did not specify how the officers were injured but said they have since been treated and released from the hospital and are doing well.
Irvine police officers were securing the building so that a hazmat team could enter the residence and remove any potentially harmful substances inside, Kurtz said.
No civilian injuries were reported and information about arrests was not immediately available.
