Two siblings start their quest for a forever family

“Once Upon a Time”, immersing themselves with reading various inspiring story books, two siblings started their quest for a forever family.  They are Emma and Eddwin, with a great sense of adventure, and collections of stories and information.  We brought this duo to our favorite place to find literary adventures, Once Upon a Time Bookstore in Montrose, CA.

Emma (2007) may seem a little quiet and introverted when you first meet her. Perhaps her love for reading, coloring, and drawing may give others the assumptions about her personality.  Nothing can be further from the truth. We found Emma to be warm, engaging and yes, very intellectual. She’s also active, participates in sports activities and plays outdoors.   This girl loves putting on lip-gloss wherever she goes.  Emma does well in school and engages well with peers and adults. She enjoys new adventures and much of how she achieves is through books.  She is drawn to books with humor, mysteries and happy stories.  Emma hopes to be a pediatrician someday and has absolutely no aversion to hitting all the necessary books to make that happen. What Emma loves most about her brother is that he makes her happy when she’s sad. Their favorite past time is sharing stories and reading together.

Eddwin (2008), is energetic and like many boys his age, he loves playing video games. Eddwin is chatty, and like his sister, he loves the outdoors and enjoys reading. Eddwin is drawn to more technical books and adventure stories. What Eddwin loves most about his big sister Emma is that she loves and wants to spend time with him, and he notices. Eddwin can often be found drawing or reading his favorite book series “Diary of a Wimpy Kid.” Eddwin hopes to work with computers some day and also be a soccer player. He’s in a team now, playing the position of forward.

In foster care, the sibling relationship is critical and sometimes compromised by virtue of being in the system. Emma and Eddwin have a very close bond and would like to be a part of a nurturing and loving family who is open to keeping contact with their extended family.  If you are interested to learn more about Emma and Eddwin, help them complete a chapter of their story still being written, please give us a call.
