Charles Williamson was killed in a drive-by shooting in Compton on the evening of June 4, 2004.
Williamson and two friends were in front of his home, working on his car, when a white Mazda MPV minivan drove slowly by. The Mazda MPV was very unique because of a gold stripe that ran along the bottom of the minivan. All of the men were wounded by someone who fired at them from the passenger side of the minivan, but Williamson was the only one who died of his injury.
His dog Billy was also wounded by one of the bullets.
Anyone with information about the driver and the shooter is asked to contact Detective Ty Labbe at the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide Bureau at 323.890.5500 or Crime Stoppers at 1.800.222.TIPS.
