Jasmin, Josie, Jennifer and Emmanuel: Ready for a sweet home

I scream, you scream…on this week’s Wednesday’s Child we have four siblings who all scream for ice cream! We first met the three sisters Jasmin (2005), Josie (2007) and Jennifer (2010) on Wednesday’s Child in 2014. Three years later and we find their brother Emmanuel (2012) making a sweet addition to this sibling set.

It has been said that “ice cream is always a good idea.” We took heed to this and met up with this quartet at La Michoacana Loca in Huntington Park where these siblings had the opportunity to show off their creative confectionary skills - and they didn’t disappoint with their custom creations! Even amidst their excitement over the endless flavor and topping possibilities though, these four never stopped looking out for each other and continually displayed an undeniable bond – generously helping each other with the scooping and sharing in each other’s ice cream while the older sisters made sure Emmanuel got what he wanted and took turns lifting him up so that he could see all of the available choices.

Jasmin is very outgoing pre-teen who communicates well and easily expresses herself. She is personable and makes friends fast. Jasmin takes her responsibility as the oldest sibling seriously and will often check to make sure her younger siblings are doing okay. Jasmin can be strong-willed at times and is learning to better follow instructions. Jasmin likes to be active and enjoys hula-hooping and jumping rope as well as playing hand ball and soccer. Jasmin also has a love for nature and enjoys going hiking.

Josie is friendly, kind, and talkative girl who demonstrates a broad vocabulary and carries herself with confidence. She is also artistic and loves to paint – taking pride in her artwork by putting it on display. Josie has also been known to entertain others by telling jokes, dancing and singing.

Jennifer is an affectionate, thoughtful and inquisitive girl who is eager to learn new things. Jennifer is learning to trust others and at times she can be quiet and reserved. However once she feels comfortable, she will easily engage. Jennifer loves to play with all kinds of toys and is particularly attached to her stuffed animals.

Emmanuel is an active and happy who is learning to master self-help skills and loves to try to do things independently. Emmanuel is trying to be a better listener and to manage his feelings and emotions when things do not go his way. Although he has some delays in speech, he is eager to talk and be a part of the conversation. Emmanuel loves cars, trucks, balls and exploring the great outdoors!

These 4 siblings have the “scoop” on how to keep each other happy. It would be the ultimate “cherry on top” for them to grow up together in one forever family and permanent home.
