(FOX 11) - Christopher (2014) is high-energy child full of life with a superpower of imagination and creativity. He can turn just about anything into a playful object and make it his focus for fascination. Playing on his affinity for superheroes, Chris, as he’s called, dressed up as Captain America.
We met up at Pa’s Pumpkin Patch in Long Beach, CA to watch Chris play on this adventure.
Although it’s almost Halloween time, Chris was less interested in pumpkins as much as embodying his superhero persona. Chris, with his costume donned on, ran through the paces, demonstrating physical fitness and a love for jumping and tumbling. If there is an audience, he would keep talking about and pretending to be a Power Ranger or in this case, Captain America.
It’s hard not to have fun with this kiddo around. He also loves playing with remote control cars, running at the park and just play, play, play.
Chris is doing well in pre-school and thrives on individual attention. He’s quite friendly with many of his classmates and does well in a well-structured school-based setting. Chris is in great health with a very open minded appetite for all kinds of foods. Chris can sometimes have a difficult time focusing and transitioning, and is receiving assistance with therapeutic services.
Chris will thrive in a structured environment with a family that is active, patient and committed - and can provide personalized attention. Tune in to Wednesday’s Child and then call to learn more about adoption at 1-866-921-ADOPT (2367).
