A Cartel Near You...Take A Look

In a quiet and peaceful Santa Fe Springs neighborhood, without anyone suspecting a thing, members of the Sinaloa drug cartel moved in and set up shop in a modest house. 

Cops with LA Impact, a multi agency task force that goes after drug traffickers, say it’s a constant game of cat and mouse between cops and narcos. Lt. Carlos Mendoza says, “Most narcotic traffickers want to go undetected.

They’re very low profile.”  Mendoza says they make their deals where you least expect it, like your local Starbucks.  In Santa Fe Springs, a popular coffee shop was the meeting place for members of the Sinaloa Cartel.

The same cartel run by Joaquin Guzman, better known as El Chapo, Mexico’s most feared drug lord and the world’s most wanted criminal.  Watch the video to see the different ways drug cartels are enlisting southern Californian’s to conduct their business.
