LA's Most Wanted: Slaying of 14-year-old boy remains a mystery

- Elawnza Peebles, 14, was walking home after playing basketball with his uncle and a friend when he was shot near the corner of 46th Street and Kansas Avenue in South Los Angeles.  

It happened at about 9:45 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013. 

The killers were described as a young man and woman in a white car. The neighborhood is often the scene of gang violence, however Elawnza was visiting the area from Victorville and was not involved in gangs in any way.

There is a $50,000 reward for information that results in the arrest and conviction of Elawnza's murderers.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Los Angeles Police Department's Criminal Gang Homicide Division a (213) 485-1385 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.  A text message including the letters "LAPD" can be sent to CRIMES (274637).
